Indian Saddle  Circa 1810

This example was used by an old Indian Chief on a ride to Edmonton from Prince Albert and Lloydminster, Alberta.

It was given to V.C. (Vivian) Foster who lived with the Indian band during much of his youth.  Foster in turn gave the saddle to Jo Warren because those to whom he had left it did not look after it.  Jo then gave it  to the ApHCC Museum.

This saddle definitely dates back to the time of the Barr Colonists.
